Job Description:


We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to assess, monitor, and enhance workplace safety standards. In this role, you will evaluate potential health and safety hazards, develop strategies to prevent accidents and occupational injuries, and ensure compliance with organizational and government regulations.

Responsibilities include conducting workplace inspections, reviewing equipment and practices, and implementing safety programs to create a secure and compliant work environment. Opportunities are available in both the public and private sectors.

  • Lead and participate in workplace audits and investigations to identify and address safety concerns, incidents, and accidents.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to ensure equipment, materials, and production processes comply with health and safety standards.
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, including policies, procedures, and training, to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety.
  • Foster a positive occupational health and safety culture by promoting best practices and risk prevention strategies.
  • Initiate enforcement procedures for workplaces that fail to comply with organizational and government health and safety regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive training to employers, employees, and the public on workplace safety protocols and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with workers and leadership teams to ensure understanding and adherence to health and safety legislation.
  • Engage and influence decision-makers to prioritize safety and implement regulatory-compliant workplace improvements.
  • Monitor workplace conditions and recommend corrective actions to enhance overall health and safety performance.
  • Stay updated on evolving safety regulations and industry standards to ensure continuous compliance and improvement.
