Industrial Painter

 

Job Title: Industrial Painter (NOC 94213)

Employer: West Wood Industries Ltd.

Location: 249 Parker Road Scoudouc, NB E4P 3P8

Wage: Starting Wage is $ 17.50/hr 40 hours per week, all raises there after would be as per the collective agreement, with a possible addition of an attendance premium of up to 3% after completion of 1000 hours

Vacancy: 2 vacancies

Terms of employment: permanent/ full time

Job Requirements:

 

Languages

·      English or French

Education

·      Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience

·      At least 1 year to 2 years of work experience as an industrial painter or related field.

 

Duties:

·      Painting small items and doing touch-ups.

·      Painting over woods and plastics.

·      Polishing metallic surfaces

·      Cleaning surfaces prior to layering paint.

·      Maintaining technical equipment for the job and ensuring that they are in working order.

·      Possessing a wide array of painting tools, including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes, and rollers.

·      Ensuring that high safety standards are met.

·      Utilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface.

·      Utilizing special safety equipment such as painting goggles.

·      Using viscosity cups and thickness gauges to measure the amount of paint to be used and the texture of the paint.

·      Removing previous paint surfaces using masking or a chemical rinse.

·      Ensuring proper ventilation after the paint is applied.
