Job Description:


Position: Child Caregiver (NOC 44101)

Location: Scarborough, Ontario, M2N 0G5

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay: $20 per hour

 

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Child Caregiver (NOC 44100) to provide personalized care and companionship for two children, one is 3 years old, and the other one is 18 months. If you are reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about childcare, we encourage you to apply.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and care for an 18-month-old toddler and a three-year-old child in employer's residence.
  • Maintain children's daily routines, such as preparing their meals, feeding, dressing, napping, bathing, and potty training.
  • Plan and organize age-appropriate activities tailored to toddlers and preschoolers, including educational exercises, games, crafts, reading, and outdoor play, while monitoring and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks related to childcare such as cleaning children's rooms, maintaining a clean and organized childcare area, cleaning up after meals, washing milk bottles and dishes, and doing the children's laundry.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
  • Assist with toilet training and changing diapers as needed.
  • Maintain consistent daily routines including meal times, nap schedules, and structured play.
  • Monitor and support children's emotional well-being and social development.
  • Discipline children according to the methods approved by parents.
  • Accompany children to and from appointments or scheduled activities if required.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information for each child.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of secondary school is required.
  • Early Childcare Assistant Certificate or relevant education is preferred.
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine concern for the well-being of children.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with family.
  • Prior experience in caregiving or a related field is beneficial but not required.
