  Job Description

Specific Skills:

  • Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
  • Help build and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding and barricades required at construction sites.
  • Assist carpenters in construction activities
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
  • Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools
  • Sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using hand tools available
  • Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment
  • Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
  • Install hoardings
  • Cutting materials
  • Install and maintain safety railings and observe other precautions


Terms of Employment:                Permanent, Full-time

Language of work:                        English

Wage:                                                23.00 per hour

Hours:                                               30 to 40 hours per week

Work Setting:                                  Construction site

Work Location:                               Various Work Location depending on project site

Personal Abilities:

-       Capable of performing task in timely manner

-       Show ability to quickly learn and take on new skills

-       Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week if needed

Education:               Completion of secondary school education may be required 

Work Experience:  Experience is an Asset; Employers willing to train the right candidate
