  Job Description

Meralona Quim and her family in Burnaby, BC, are seeking a compassionate and dependable Home Support Worker to assist in caring for their children with special needs. The successful candidate will help create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment while providing daily care tailored to the children’s individual needs.

Key duties include assisting with personal care routines, supporting mobility and daily activities, preparing meals, supervising play and learning activities, administering reminders for therapy exercises, and maintaining a clean and organized home environment.

Administer bedside and personal care

Administer medications

Assist clients in water (i.e. pool)

Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene

Mend clothing and linens

Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Plan therapeutic diets and menus

Provide companionship

Provide personal care

Shop for food and household supplies

Prepare and serve nutritious meals
