On the Road: Frequent or constant travel is required

Job Description:
• Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailers, long-combination vehicles weighing over 4500 kg to transport goods and materials over long distances
• Load and unload goods
• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positing system (GPS), or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Plan trip logistics and have all the required documents that are needed to transport goods
• Perform inspection of the vehicle including the systems, equipment, and accessories such as tires, lights, and brakes before, during, and after the trips.
• Follow all the safety procedures required to transport the goods and ensure that the cargo is properly secure.
• Maintain logbooks electronically which include hours of service provided, distance traveLled, and fuel consumption.
• Maintain bills of Lading
• Communicate to the dispatcher by using the communication device
