Full job description – Tilesetter

 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, weekends, evenings, overtime

Salary: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

ISMARTEAM, a professional construction contractor company, is looking for a tile setter to join our team of professionals to provide quality service to our clients.

As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings. If you have a strong attention to detail and take pride in your work, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
- Cut tiles to size using hand tools or power tools
- Prepare surfaces
- Mix and apply mortar or adhesive to secure tiles in place
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and straightedges
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout
- Install tile trim and edge pieces for a finished look
- Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment

 

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of tile laying techniques and materials
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and precision
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Strong teamwork and communication skills
